However, the theme of God\u2019s Kingdom is firmly present in the Old Testament as well. That said, its form was not clear from the beginning. Rather, as Israel\u2019s history and faith journey unfolded, the meaning of God\u2019s Kingdom gradually deepened and expanded.<\/p>\n\n\n\n This perspective of \u201cprogressive revelation\u201d is crucial for reading the Old Testament. God does not reveal everything at once; instead, He unveils His vision of the Kingdom step by step, according to the times and circumstances. Just as a story develops little by little, our understanding of God\u2019s Kingdom also grows richer over time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n 1. Early Israel: Awareness of God\u2019s Kingship<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n First, consider the era when the Israelites escaped from Egypt and wandered in the wilderness. Here, the idea that \u201cGod is King\u201d is strongly emphasized. In Judges and Exodus, we find expressions like \u201cthe LORD rules over you\u201d and \u201cthe LORD will reign forever and ever.\u201d At this stage, there were no human kings; God\u2019s direct rule was at the center of the people\u2019s lives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n There was no formal institution or organization called \u201cthe Kingdom of God\u201d yet.
