Those who oppose such laws say they threaten freedom of expression and freedom of conscience. Those who support them argue that the national flag is an important symbol that unites citizens and therefore deserves some legal protection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
However, the deeper issue is not simply whether people should respect the flag. The real question is this: How should respect for a nation be developed? Should it be encouraged by law, or should it grow freely in people’s hearts?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
2. Freedom of Expression and Respect for the Nation<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the same time, the Bible does not treat the state as absolute.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
